(a) The licensee shall ensure that each child is accorded the following personal rights: (1) To be accorded dignity in his/her personal relationships with staff and other persons. This requirement is not met as evidence by: 1 Director agrees to review childrens personal rights video with staff and provide a form of all atendees and summaries on the take away to LPA via email. ccld.childcarevideos.org and/or any other applicable video. Based on interviews conducted with S2, S2 stated that they pulled a child by the t- shirt as a form of redirection which poses a potential personal rights risk to children in care. 8

LPAs observed as children were walked from preschool playground into the toddler playground. LPAs asked Director what age range the class was and Director confirmed that it was a toddler class in the preschool playground. 1 Director will have discussion with teachers and explain that the children must use age appropriate playground only. If this happens again, the teacher will receive a corrective notice write up. If it happens again after write up, the teacher will be terminated.

LPAs observed cleaning products within reach of children. Advised Director and owner that cleaning products must be stored out of reach of children. 1 Director states cabinets will be installed in rooms for safe storage of cleaning products and other hazards. Director stored all cleaning products in bathrooms out of reach of children in the meantime.

In a passage way outside of a classroom, LPAs observed cots obstructing part of passage way. Advised director that the cots must be stored elsewhere in order to avoid blocking passageway. 1 Director states will most likely be replacing cots with sleep mats in order to store the mats hanging on the wall.

Based on interviews conducted and video footage received, Staff 1 in the Blue Room placed her leg over the lower half of the child’s body on the cot, which restrained the child during nap time.
