Director Pattulo will schedule a early learning coach and contracted mental health & behavior support speacilaist to provide training addressing appropriate behavior in the classroom. Director Pattulo will submit a plan of action and includes dates of training to LPA by 05/01/2024. During LPA’s visit on 01/29/2024, LPA interviewed five (5) staff members. During interviews, 4 out of 5 staff stated they have witnessed S1 raise their voice at the children. LPA also observed S1 speak loud and direct to the children during their visit. This is an immediate personal rights risk to persons in care.

Based on LPA's record review and interviews, there is no criminal clearance Staff Aida Gurrola who has been employed at the facility since 01/16/2004. This poses an immediate risk to the health and safety of children in care.

Based on interviews conducted with parents and staff as well as documentation received, a teacher handled a child/children in a rough manner. Director and staff will watch Teacher-to-Child Ratios in Child Care Centers https://ccld.childcarevideos.org/child-care-center-operators/teacher-child-ratios-in-child-care-centers/ LPA met with teacher Heidi Argent at 9:29 a.m. When LPA’s arrived, LPA’s observed 14 preschool age children with 1 preschool age staff. Teacher stated she understands the ratio but a child had to use the restroom. Teacher was left with 14 children as the assistant assisted a child to the restroom. 8 The Director will submit in writing proof of completion with the names and dates of all staff who completed the videos.
