This requirement was not met by: 1 Director stated she will get another staff or aide and adjust staff hours. Director will submit a statement of understanding of the regualtion and detailed plan to ensure ratio are being met, to LPA by due date. This is a repeat violation from 5/16/23 and immediate civil penalty of $250 was assessed today. At the time of the visit today, LPA observed 5 infants inside the Infant classroom with one staff S1. This poses an immediately health and safety risk to children in care. 8

LPA observed another staff inisde the infant classroom during the time of visit. At the time of the visit today, LPA observed 6 infants inside the Infant classroom with one staff S1. This poses an immediately health and safety risk to children in care. 8

101416.2 Infant Care Teacher Qualifications and Duties (b) Prior to employment, an infant care teacher shall have completed, with passing grades, at least three post secondary semesters or equivalent quarter units in early childhood education or child development, and three post secondary semester or equivalent quarter units related to the care of infants, at an accredited or approved college or university. This requirement was not met by: 1 Director stated she will no longer use S3 to help out with teacher-child ratio. LPA observed S2 direct S3 from the kitchen into the Infant classroom to help with staffing ratio. During file reviews, it was determine S3 was not hired at the center as a teacher or aide and did not have qualifications to be inside the infant classroom caring for children in care. 8
