This requirement was not meet by evidence by... 1 Facility will take have staff enroll in discipline training in working with challenging behaviors and on how to direct children. Proof of class/training (Smart Horizon -on line, CA registry) and submit a summary of what was learned. Submit to the Palmdale Regional Office by email by indicated due date. LPA's observation and interview disclosures. LPA observed two infants confined in a crib. Infants were under one year of age, awake and reaching out with arms. According to interviews it was disclosed infants are handled in a rough manner(hands and jaw are squeezed) and are forced to sit, lay down when not listening or following directions. This posses a potential risk to the health and safety of children in care. 8
