This requirement was not met as evidence by: If an infant falls asleep before being placed in a crib, staff shall move the infant to a crib as soon as possible. 1 Director will meet with all infant staff and review the infant safe sleep regulations provided by LPA Sims. Director will have all staff write statement acknowledging they understand the safe sleep regulations and send statements to LPA Sims by 9/16/24 to sydney.sims@dss.ca.gov Based on observation the facility did not comply with the section cited above by having two infants sleeping in swings. 8
This requirment was not met as evidence by: There shall be one teacher to every 12 sleeping infants provided the remaining staff necessary to meet the ratios specified in (b) above are immediately available at the center. 1 Director will meet with all infant staff and review the infant ratio regulations provided by LPA Sims. Based on observation and record review, two teachers were present with infants without current and updaed CPR/First Aid certifictation which posed a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.
Based on record review, it was verified infants do have Safe Sleep Plans on file.
Please send documentation that all code violation abatement actions (for landscape & draining violation) have been completed by Monday April 4, 2022. as based on water draining into building during rain based on a letter from the city of Redding. Which poses/posed a potential Health and Safety risk to children in care. 8 Send the LPA a copy of all communications with the City. Request an extension if work is not completed by due date of Monday April 4, 2022
Based on observation there was mold growing under carpet placed with a children's mat on top. Which poses an immediate Health and Safety risk to children in care. Parents/Guardians must sign the LIC 9224 to be kept in each child's file.
