(a) In addition to the sign-in procedure requirement of Section 101226.1(b), the licensee shall develop, maintain, and implement a written procedure to sign the child in/out of the center that shall, at a minimum, include the following:(1) The person who signs the child in/out shall use 1 Facility will submit proof of completion of sign in/out procedures for 11/01/24-11/07/24 his/her full legal signature and shall record the time of day. Based on director interview &record review, facility did not have sign in/out sheets available for authorized representatives on 11/01/24, resulting in no signatures for sign in. This poses a potential health and safety risk for children in care.
Disinfectants, cleaning solutions, poisons and other items that could pose a danger if readily available to children shall be stored where inaccessible to children. (1)Storage areas for poisons shall be locked. Based on LPAs observation, there were two disinfecting sprays which both had: 1 Immediately, director locked the cabinet and agrees to hold a meeting with her staff on the importance of reading labels to determine which chemicals go behind a key lock and which to keep inaccessible, and what that looks like, specifically in the school age classroom. "Medical Emergency" phone numbers to contact. Additionally, the following note was on them "CAUTION: Causes moderate eye irritation. Avoid contact with eyes or clothing. Wash thoroughly with soap and water after handling". This was not kept locked and was accessible to the school age children. 8
(a) Every child care center shall have all admission policies in writing and available to the public. The policies shall coincide with the limitations stated on the license, and shall include, but not be limited to, the following:(6) Transportation arrangements, if any. Based on interviews with pertinent parties, a 1 Facility agrees to submit proof of route detailed with names of staff and schools they will be dropping off/picking up. child was left at their elementary school and forgotten. The elementary school had to call the facilty and the chidl was picked up approximately 45 minutes-1 hour later. This poses/posed a potential health and safety risk to person in care. 8
