101700.3 California Lead Action Level at Child Care Centers (a) California’s Action Level for lead in water at Child Care Centers is 5 ppb. (c) If testing indicates an Action Level Exceedance at any water outlet, the water from that outlet is deemed not safe to drink and an immediate response pursuant to section 101704 shall be required. 1 School District facility is currently conducting flushing of outlet (Area C) for 30 seconds, 4 times in a day until the third week. Water cooler and disposables cups will be provided to preschool children. Outlet (Area C) will be retested after the third week. Results will be provided to LPA Del Mundo thru email. This requirement was not met as evidence by: based on the information received from outlet (Area C) is an outdoor fountain that has an ALE of 11 ppb, which is out of compliance with the allowable ALE of 5.5 ppb. This poses a potential health and safety risk for the children in care. 8
