101216.1(b)(1) -Teacher Qualifications and Duties - Prior to employment, a teacher shall meet the requirements of (b)(1) or (b)(2) below:(1) A teacher shall have completed, with passing grades, at least six postsecondary semester or equivalent quarter units of the education requirement specified in (c)(1) below, or shall have obtained a Child Development Assistance Permit issued by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing. The licensee will ensure that only qualified staff are supervising children alone. The licensee will submit a Plan of Correction to the Department by 8/23/22 on how this will be conducted. Evidenced by, according to witnesses, Staff #1 was allowed to supervise children alone and without required ECE qualifications. Staff #1 was hired to cook and clean. This is an immediate risk to the health and safety of children in care. 8

(a) The licensee shall ensure that each child is accorded the following personal rights: (2) To be accorded safe, healthful and comfortable accommodations, furnishings and equipment to meet his/her needs. 1 Licensee will submit a plan of correction stating how this type of injury will be prevented in the future by 7/6/2022. Evidenced by The licensee allowed Child #1 to stand on a chair which was unsafe. The child sustained an injury to the finger on March 24, 2022 which caused several stitches due to another child pulling the chair from underneath the child. This is a posses an immediate risk to the health and safety of children.
