Based on interviews and record reviews, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above, three out of three staff had expired mandated reporter training which poses a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.
Activities(c) A teacher-child ratio of one teacher supervising 24 napping children is permitted provided that the remaining teachers necessary to meet the overall ratio specified in Section 101216.3(a) are immediately available at the center. This requirement was not met as 1 Director stated the facility will implement a plan to address ratio and breaks and will conduct staff training. Documentation for the said plan will be provided to LPA by due date on 9/5/24 evidenced by: Based on LPA observation, there were 14 preschool children napping and 2 children in the restroom with 1 staff. This poses an immediate risk to the health, safety, or personal rights of children in care. 8
