(B) A child shall not be served any food to which the child's record indicates he/she has an allergy. 1 The director is required to submit a written Plan of Correction (POC) outlining how to ensure that children are provided with safe and healthy accommodations. The POC must detail how the process will be supervised to correct any issues and prevent them from happening again. This should involve retraining staff on feeding and meal preparation protocols, as well as creating individual action plans, particularly for children with food allergies. Upon completion of the training, detailed documentation outlining the topics covered and verifying staff attendance will be submitted to Licensing by the specified plan of correction due date. Based on the interview and records review, it was found that the center did not comply with regulations regarding providing reasonable and comfortable accommodations to children. Based on observation, it was found that the Center did not comply with the regulations related to the toddler component. A toddler group size consisting of two teachers should not exceed 12 toddlers. However, the LPAs observed that there were sixteen toddler children present in the toddler classroom, and there was no partition to separate the two toddler groups. This poses/posed a potential health and safety risk to the children in care.
