Based on observation, interview, record review, at 3:00pm during facility inspection LPA requested a copy of the lead sampling test, Director disclosed they have not conducted a lead test. Director thought they did not have to test. The licensee did not comply with the section cited above in which poses a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.
(a) The child care center shall be clean, safe, sanitary and in good repair at all times to ensure the safety and well-being of children, employees and visitors. This requirement was not met evidence by: Director made the repairs by changing the light bulb in the restroom and fixing the wooden step. During today's visit LPA insepcted the light and step they were within compliance. Based on observation and interviews conducted the bathroom light was not working for a whole day and the wooden step that leads into the outdoor play area was not stable while staff and children step on it. This is a potential Health and Safety risk to the children in care. 8
