(a) The licensee shall provide care and supervision as necessary to meet the children’s needs.(1) No child shall be left without the supervision of a teacher at any time… 1 Director will immediately retrain all staff on supervision protocols including walk through during transitions, staff communication responsibilities, and ensuring that no child is left unattended at any time. A written statement confirming completion of staff training and updated supervision procedures will be submitted to the Department by February 27, 2026 submitted via email at eliabeth.george@dss.ca.gov. Based on observation, interview, and record review, the licensee failed to ensure that a child was provided care and supervision at all times. On 2/24/26 at approximately 10:42 AM, an infant was found alone inside the classroom crying and visibly upset. Staff confirmed that the child had been left unsupervised in the classroom for approximately 10 minutes during a transition to the outdoor area. 8

Director, Maria Suarez agreed to submit a written plan of correction to CCL outlining steps to ensure the timely resolution of high-risk incident no later than 5/13/2024. gigi.reyes@dss.ca.gov A gas leak/smell in the infant classroom that persisted for approximately 4 to 6 weeks before it was resolved with the intervention of the gas company. Any gas leak should be immediately reported to Gas company. This poses a potential risk to health and safety of children in care.
