The licensee shall ensure that each child is accorded the following personal rights: To be free from corporal or unusual punishment, infliction of pain, humiliation, intimidation, ridicule, coercion, threat, mental abuse or other actions of a punitive nature including but not limited to: interference with functions of daily living 1 The Direcor stated that she will discuss with the facility leadership about the parent handbook regarding nap time. including eating, sleeping or toileting; or withholding of shelter, clothing, medication or aids to physical functioning. The facility did not allow a child in care to get up and only allowed child to engage in a quiet activity on his/her cot/bed during nap time. This is a potential risk to children in care. 8
