Based on the interview and records reviewed, the center did not comply with the cited section of the regulation above. Staff removed a child from the lunch table due to behavior, leaving the child without access to food for several minutes. Children must be treated with dignity and respect to support their sense of belonging, and staff may not delay or withhold food as part of discipline. This practice poses potential health, safety, and personal rights risks to the person in care.

Based on interview and record review, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above. The facility left a child unsupervised in a classroom for approximately 90 seconds. which poses a potenital health, safety, or personal rights risk to children in care. Parents were advised to speak with their children about not hiding in the classroom. Staff were also reminded that children must be recounted during all transitions to ensure proper supervision. This deficiency will be cleared during today's visit.

Based on interview, record review, and observation, the licensee did not comply with the above by having one child without the visual supervision of a teacher, which posed a potential health, safety, or personal rights risk to persons in care. 8 The facility has taken appropriate measures to address the incident and reinforced guidelines on best practices. This deficiency shall be cited and cleared the same day of the visit, 7/24/2024.
