Based on LPA records review and licensee interview, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above. Licensee did not ensure children in care were accorded a safe environment which poses/posed a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.
(a) The child care center shall be clean, safe, sanitary and in good repair at all times to ensure the safety and well-being of children, employees and visitors. (1) The licensee shall take measures to keep the center free of flies, other insects, and rodents.This requirement was not met as 1 Director Katie Bonzi stated the facility will continue to actively work on resolving the issue. Facility will continue their contract with pest control who are scheduled for pest maintenance once a month and also their cleaning contract with Greenworks Janitorial who conducts evidenced by: Based on interviews and observations the facility has an issue with cockroaches. This poses a potential risk to the health, safety, or personal rights of children. 8 cleaning of the facility once a week. Director Katie Bonzi will develop a daily cleaning schedule of classrooms, bathrooms, kitchen and staff lounge and have the facility sprayed inside for insects. Director will submit proof to CCLD by POC 10/31/2025.
