101238.2(g) Outdoor Activity Space.The playground shall be enclosed by a fence to protect children and to keep them in the outdoor activity area. The fence shall be at least four feet high. This regulation was not met as evidence 1 During todays visit the alarm systems battery were replaced and the alarm systems were engaged. Licensee was informed that the alarm systems shall be maintained in operable condition at all times. by: LPAs observed two exit gates whose alarms were inoperable. One on play yard #1 and one leading to an alley behind the center. No children were present. This posed a possible safety hazard to children care 8

101238 Buildings and Grounds (a) The Child care center shall be clean, safe, sanitary and in good repair at all times to ensure the safety and well being of children, employee and visitors: This requirement not met as evidence by: 1 Director agreed to cease the use of outlet/faucet L and O. These outlets will not be accessible for use. Notification of letter will be sent out to parents with notification of cease of water outlets and remediation for planned for water outlets or alternative. Director will send LPA a copy of the letter via email by 9/15/2022. Lead water testing samples taken on 8/16/2022 revealed that levels of lead were beyond allowable amount deemed by the State of California. Water fountain (sample L) lead exceedance level 140 ug/L and faucet/outlet (sample O) in classroom lead exceedance level 8.2 ug/L. This poses a potential health and safety risk to children in care. 8
