It was observed during today's inspection that a child was placed in a high chair without washing the child's hands before being given a snack. The child' was taken out of the chair and hands washed. It was observed that a child's hands were washed after a diaper change.

Based on the information received a caregiver yelled at a child.
Information on preventing and responding to abuse and neglect needs to be included in the operational policies/parent handbook to include the following: (A)Required annual training for employees (B)Methods for increasing employee and parent awareness of issues regarding child abuse and neglect, including warning signs that a child may be a victim of abuse or neglect and factors indicating a child is at risk for abuse or neglect (C)Methods for increasing employee and parent awareness of prevention techniques for child abuse and neglect (D) Strategies for coordination between the center and appropriate community organizations; and (E)Actions that the parent of a child who is a victim of abuse or neglect should take to obtain assistance and intervention, including procedures for reporting child abuse or neglect

Each setting in which your physical activity program will take place 5. A plan to ensure physical activity occurs on days when extreme weather conditions prohibit or limit outdoor play.

How children will be evacuated or relocated to the designated safe area or alternate shelter, who are under 24 months of age, who have limited mobility, or who otherwise may need assistance in an emergency, such as children who have mental, visual, or hearing impairments needs to be added to the plan, as well as how staff will continue to care for the children until each child has been released, and how children will be reunified with parents after evacuation, relocation, or sheltering/lock-down is lifted needs to be added to the plan.
