The director of the Excelsior Academy was present with two other teachers and parent conducting a parent conference. The second classroom had 2 operational staff and 13 children. The operational staff was observed in the present in children conducting gym activities inside the childcare center.

One operational staff was observed inside the classroom without a clear background check. A total of one teacher and seven children. The age of the children are six to ten years old, and they were learning how to do mathematics.

A nap cot was placed directly in front of a door entry to the classroom. Note: The provider moved the nap cot to provide a clear pathway to the room.

A lock down drill that was conducted in July 2022 had not been documented. Note: The provider documented the date and time of the lock down drill that was conducted.

A yellow and white tube of disinfectant wipes was observed in an unlocked cabinet in room 9 which was accessible to children during the inspection. Note: The provider removed the wipes during the inspection.
