101700.3 (b) (1) California Lead Action Level at Child Care Centers 101700.3 (b) (1) Written Directives...A result with values of 5.5 ppb or greater shall be deemed an Action Level Exceedance. This requirement was not met as evidence by: Facility has marked the faucet off limits for the staff, it is unreachable for children to use and it is currently being flushed weekly prior to facility having the sink retested. Note the fountains are not used for drinking water or food preparation and water has been turned off to that fountain. Based on records review and interviews, facility tested over the Action Level Exceedance, in one drinking fountain located outside the nursery on the playground. This poses a potential health, safety, or personal rights risk to the children in care. 8

During inspection LPA interviewed staff who 1 Hold a staff meeting with the infant staff. Review policy of no personal food in the classroom. Director will submit meeting agenda to LPA Taylor at: andrea.taylor@dss.ca.gov confirmed sunflower seeds and shells. These were on selves in classroom and could fall on the floor making them accessible to children. This poses a potential risk to the Health and Safety of children in care.
