(3) All infants shall be given the opportunity to sleep without distraction or disturbance from other activities at the center whenever the infant desires. (E)If an infant falls asleep before being placed in a crib, staff shall move the infant to a crib as soon as possible. 1 Facility representative stated that they will be conducting a safe sleep training to the infant staff and any staff that assists in the infant classroom and will send an outline of the training,and a signed understanding of the training by each staff attended to the LPA by the above POC date. The facility did not meet this requirement evidenced by LPAs observed 3 infants sleeping in swings when they walked into the classroom, which poses a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care. 8
