a preschool teacher(S1) slapped one preschool child(C1) on left cheek on 02/22/24 during rest time. This poses an immediate risk to the health, safety and personal rights of children in care. 8 A copy of this licensing report dated 04/25/2024 that documents the Type A citation issued today must be provided to parents/guardians of all children currently enrolled by the next business day or the next day the child(ren) are in care, and to any newly enrolled parents/guardians for 12 months from the date of this report. A signed Acknowledgement of Receipt of Licensing Report (LIC9224) must be placed in each child's file for verification.

Personal Rights: The licensee shall ensure that each child is accorded the following personal rights: To be free from corporal or unusual punishment, infliction of pain, humiliation, intimidation, ridicule, coercion, threat, mental abuse or other actions of a punitive nature. Since the incidents occurrence Bright Horizons has immediately implemented several interventions: staff training's, professional development, and disciplinary actions. Based on interviews, as well as the self reported incident report; a child's personal rights were violated. This poses a potential risk to the health, safety, and personal rights of the children in care. 8 The Program Director shall submit proof of training's and interventions to CCL by the POC date.
