Based on observation, the indoor play area near the outside play area had several white, mineral fiber ceiling planks that are broken, the ceiling fan is broken, the walls are unclean, there is smoke detector hanging from the ceiling, a broken fire alarm with exposed wiring on the wall near the carbon monoxide detector. In the school-age room, there is a broken arcade machine and a bathroom stall that is not open for use. The licensee did not comply with the section cited above which poses a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.
Based on interviews, it was confirmed there was inadequate supervision resulting in inappropriate interaction between children in care. 8 Staff will print their name, date of attendance and provide signatures on sign in sheet. Site Supervisor will submit the sign-in sheet to CCLD Fresno by POC deadline.
101223 Personal Rights (a) The licensee shall ensure that each child is accorded the following personal rights… (3) To be free from corporal or unusual punishment, infliction of pain, humiliation, intimidation, ridicule…This requirement was not met as evidence by: 1 Licensee stated there will be a training with staff regarding personal rights and dealing with children with challenging behavior before 6/10/2025 and will provide a sign-in of attendees to Licensing by 6/10/2025. Based on interviews, it was revealed that staff talked and interacted with children inappropriately, which poses a potential health, safety, and personal rights risk to person in care. 8
During inspection of school age classroom, LPA observed a large rug that is ripped in several areas. LPA also obseved a chair with white cushions that was stained. The licensee did not comply with the section cited above which poses a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.
Based on record review, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above. Staff and licensee do not possess a current Mandated Child Abuse Training the meets AB1207 training for day care children. This poses a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.
