The licensee shall ensure that each child is accorded the following personal rights: (1)To be accorded dignity in his/her personal relationships with staff and other persons. This requieurment is not met as evidence by 1 Licensee initiated closure on 12/11/2024, the last day children will be in care is 12/23/2024. Designated Dirctor stated staff member was let go, stated they would have proved staff training, reiterating childrens personal rights Based on interview with Licensee, Staff member kissed a child on the cheek, this viloates childs personal rights. Designated Director stated they would notify parent as well as give copies to parents on the Type A citation. Based on record review and interview LPA did not see copies of LIC9224 in childrens file, Licensee was unaware copys of licensing report was given to parent/ guardian. Criminal record clearance §101170(e)(1)
Staff 1 obtained a criminal record clearance and has been associated to the facility. Deficiency was cleared at the time of visit and no further action is needed. After reviewing Staff files, it was discovered that Staff 1 was hired in the beginning of January of 2024 and had been working at the facility prior to obtaining a criminal record clearance. This poses an immediate health, safety, and personal rights risk to children in care.
