Teacher Qualifications and Duties Prior to employment, a teacher shall meet the requirements of (b)(1) or (b)(2) below: (1)A teacher shall have completed, with passing grades, at least six post secondary semester or equivalent quarter units of the education requirement specified in (c)(1) below, or shall have obtained a Child Development Assistance Permit issued by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing. Director stated that teachers will be require to have six completed units and be in the process of completing the 12 ECE units. A memo will be provided to staff members regarding the requirements and Director will This requirement is not met as evidence by: During the time frame between 2019 to 2021, there is at least one staff that has not completed the six units of ECE units and was alone supervising children. This poses a potential Health and Safety risk to the clients in care. 8 submit the staff members acknowledgement of received of the information to LPA no later than 08/17/2023.

Director stated that she will go over the licensing regulation with the staff members during the staff meeting regarding health related services. This requirement was not met as evidenced that there was at least one incident that facility failed to provide the nature of the injury to the child's authorize representative when the child is picked up from the center. This poses a potential health and safety risk to clients in care. Director will submit the agenda of the meeting along with staff members sign in sheet to Licensing no later than 5/31/2022.

No child(ren) shall be left without the supervision of a teacher at any time, except as specified in Sections 101216.2(e)(1) and 101230(c)(1). Supervision shall include visual observation. Director stated that she will go over the licensing regulation regarding supervision with staff members during the staff meeting. Staff will reminded of outside stations so that observation of children is optimal. This requirement was not met as evidenced that on January 2022, there was an incident that a day care child was not at the playground during pick up and the child was found alone in the classroom by a staff member. This poses a potential health and safety risk to clients in care. Director will submit the agenda of the meeting along with staff members sign in sheet to Licensing no later than 5/31/2022.
