Personal Rights (a)The licensee shall ensure that each child is accorded... personal rights: (3) To be free from corporal or unusual punishment, infliction of pain, humiliation, intimidation, ridicule, coercion, threat, mental abuse...of a punitive nature... This requirement was not met as evidence by 1 Director stated that he will meet with each staff member and provide on the job training of personal rights of a child and go over Title 22 Regulations- Personal Rights of a child and send staff meeting agenda and training agenda to LPA by Wednesday May 28th, 2025. Based on staff interviews. S4 stated that they have witnessed staff turn children’s bodies around physically by staff so that the children would follow the teachers’ directions. S4 stated that the child would cry and that they do not see staff doing this anymore.
Based on interview and record review, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above. 1 staff member did not have TB test on file for review. Director stated staff has an appointment scheduled for June this poses as a health and safety risk or personal rights risk to persons in care.
