101223(a)(2) Personal Rights (a) The licensee shall ... personal rights: (2) To be accorded safe, healthful, and comfortable accommodations, furnishings, and equipment to meet his/her needs. This requirement was not met evidence by: 1 The facility representative stated they will document everything we are doing. We updated the training health and safety manual and implement training to staff to identify bitting before it happens. We will continue to do social/emotional training. We will continue to have therapist sessions to families. We will continue to remove children that are bitting from the situation and give them space. We will continue to give parents strategies to encourage their child not to bite. Based on interviews conducted by LPA and incident reports, it was determined that the staff are not preventing children from biting other children. This poses an immediate risk to the health/safety of the children. 8 Request Denied

This requirement was not met evidenced by: 1 The facility representative stated they will enroll in an infant/toddler classroom and send the proof to the LPA via email. Based on LPAs interviews and record review, staff that are in the apple classroom do not have units in infant/toddler courses. This poses a potential risk to the health/safety of the children. 8
