101223(a)The licensee shall ensure that each child is accorded the following personal rights:(2) To be accorded safe accommodations, furnishings and equipment to meet his/her needs. 1 Per Facility Representatives, staff is performing safety sweeps in the classroom daily before children arrive, staff have been re-trained on safety practices in the classroom and staff 1 has received a personnel write up. This requirement is not met based on interviews, record review and observation, the facility did not provide a safe environment which caused child 1 to obtain a wound due to a laptop falling on their head. This is a potential risk to the safety of children in care. 8 Facility representatives will submit proof of participation of new safety procedures by due date.
