This requirement has not been met as evidence by: 1 Director stated she understands that aids have to be fully qualified. Director stated there has never been a time that she recalls where an aid has been left to supervise children alone. Based on interviews conducted the licensee did not comply with the section above by having an aid supervise awake children without the direct supervision of a teacher. This poses an immediate health, safety, or personal rights risk to persons in care. 8

Through interviews, LPA learned that 1 Director stated that if children that were sick with diarrhea, cough, colds, vomiting, fevers, and COVID-like symptoms will isolated in the office and will be sent home immediately. Director stated that their handbook has been updated to have this information and has been sent to all of the parents via email. Director stated that she will obtain signature pages from children that were sick with diarrhea, cough, colds, vomiting, fevers, and COVID-like symptoms have been allowed to stay at the day care classrooms. LPA's observation of metal sheeting with sharp edges that was the cover for the shade area was hanging down where infants are allowed 1 Director submitted proof to LPA of the cover of the shade area was fixed as of 1/5/22.
