The Licensee has conducted a mandatory all staff meeting in response to the actions of the terminated employee (S1) and covered the topics of communicating with children and personal rights of children. The Licensee did not ensure that staff member (S1) accorded children dignity in their personal relationship with her, as she used inappropriate language around and towards the children, which poses an immediate risk to the health, safety, and personal rights of children in care. 8 Toby states the mandatory meeting topics (personal rights, communicating with children) will now be a part of the on boarding process for all new staff moving forward.

The Licensee did not prevent the staff member (S1) from inappropriately handling/disciplining children which poses an immediate risk to the health, safety, and personal rights of children in care. 8 Toby states the mandatory meeting topics (positive discipline, classroom management) will now be a part of the on boarding process for all new staff moving forward.

Fixtures, Furniture, Equipment and Supplies. A comfortable temperature for children shall be maintained at all times. This requirement is not met as evident by: 1 By 12/21/2022, Licensee stated that he will purchase space heaters for the center and send proof to Licensing. Based on observation, Room C had a reading of 62 degrees Fahrenheit on their carbon monoxide detector and Room B had a reading of 61 degree Fahrenheit. This poses a potential health and safety risk to children in care. 8 Licensee also stated that he will send invoice once HVAC unit is replaced and the temperature of the rooms.
