Based on observation, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above, childcare center licenses issued after July 1, 2022, the licensee shall test their water for lead within 180 days of licensure pursuant to Written Directives section 101700 (PIN 21-21.1- CCP). LPAs did not observe lead testing to be conducted within the timeframe stated which poses/posed a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.

On 09/21/21, C1 misstepped/slipped off of a 1 Director Tomashefsky stated that short-term, the Sunflower room will use the inside child-size sink and the Lavender Room will remove the step stool until it is needed for use and then a staff will grab it and supervise the child while they are using ethe sink. Director is proposing to purchase two child-size sinks to be utilized outdoors and will keep LPA informed of the one-step step stool, causing the stool to flip over, and C1 fell in between the legs of the stool and onto hard cement, sustaining a broken elbow. *This poses an immediate risk to the health and safety of the children in care.* progress of the proposal.
