Personal Rights. Each child shall be accorded dignity in his/her personal relationships with staff, and other persons. On multiple occasions, child #1 tapped Child #2 whenever Child #1 did not like a response from Child #2 while they were playing. The incidents did not result in any type of injuries. Child #1 also tapped Staff #1 and Staff #2 on multiple occasions. This is a type B deficiency that if not corrected could pose a potential to the health and safety of children in care. 1 The facility shall conduct an all-staff training to address how to handle children with behavioral issues to protect the health and safety of children in care and to prevent this type of incident from reoccurring. Facility to submit to the Department a copy of the training agenda with the training topic and sign in signatures of the staff that participated in the training no later than 09/06/23.
