An infant care aide shall work under the direct supervision of the director, the assistant director or a fully qualified teacher, except as provided for in Section 101416.5(d)(1). This requirement is not met as evidenced: 1 Facility will submit a written plan of correction and send proof to LPA by POC date of 02/08/22. LPAs observed an aide supervising four infants in the Jungle Explorers after Head Teacher went to assist in the Baby Room. This is an immidiate risk to the health and safety of children in care. (1) Each infant shall be constantly supervised and under direct visual observation and supervision by a staff person at all times. 1 Director stated that she will plan on checking on staff during nap time to ensure they are awake. Director will conduct staff training on the importance of supervision and will have staff write what they learned. Director will submit proof of these correspondences to LPA Tillery by POC date. Based on observation and staff interview, this requirement was not met evidenced by: LPA observed Staff #1 sleeping while supervising napping toddlers. Staff #1 stated that she didn't realized that she was asleep, but might have dozed off. 8
