(a) In addition to Section 101229, the following shall apply:(1) Each infant shall be constantly supervised and under direct visual observation and supervision by a staff person at all times.(2) Sleeping infant(s) shall be directly observed by sight and sound at all times. This requirement was not met as evidence by: 1 Director stated staff no longer leave children unattended in the nap room. Facility shall conduct a staff meeting to discuss supervision requirements for infants in care. A detailed agenda and attendance sheet shall be sent to CCL by 11/29/24. Based on interviews, napping infants were not under direct visual observation and supervison, which poses an immediate health, safety, or personal rights risk to children in care. 8 erica.laird@dss.ca.gov
