Director states that staff will review infant safe sleep regulations and sign an agreement stating they will abide by the department safe sleep regulations. An infant was left sleeping in a swing and was not moved to a crib in a timely matter.
POC; Director stated that facility has a Behavioral Intervention Plan to help with children biting and will make sure that children that have biting issues are separated and follow biting policies with parents. A child received 4 bitten incidents within one month. This poses and immediate risk to the health and safety of children in care.
Director indicated they have created a Behavioral Intervention Plan to help with children biting. In addition, staff will attend a training where supervision and the biting policy will be discussed and signatures of attendees will be provided to Licensing. On May 5, 2022, a lack of supervision lead to a child being bitten three times in one day. Staff was unable to explain the injuries. This poses and immediate risk to the health and safety of children in care.
Director will provide and review reporting regulations with staff and send licesning a signature sheet of attendees. LPA learned there had been an outbreak of Hand Foot and Mouth disease at the facility that was not reported to Licensing. This poses a potential Health and Safety risk to children in care.
