Personal Rights- (a) The licensee shall ensure that each child is accorded the following personal rights: (2) ...safe, healthful and comfortable accommodations, furnishings and equipment to meet his/her needs. This was not met by: 1 The school playground structure is temporarily off limits until maintenanace from Elk Grove School District decides whether or not to add more wood chips. If no wood chips are added, the Allowing a 4-yr-old on the school playground structure not equipped for the childs age and not having enough cushioning underneath the monkey bar area. 8 structure will be closed permanently.
Based on interview, the facility did not comply with the section cited above, in that a staff member intentionally tapped a child with a spongy ball on the head, which poses a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care. 8 understand, respect and honor children’s PR.
Based on interview, the facility did not comply with the section cited above, student ran out of the facility which resulted in absence of supervison, which poses an immediate health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care. 8 will pick up student from school and will stay in ratio. Site Director had meeting with staff regarding supervision and will send signed training materials and roster. SD will reasses the room for safety.
