(a) The licensee shall ensure that each child is accorded the following personal rights: (1) To be accorded dignity in his/her personal relationships with staff and other persons. This requirement is not met as evidence by: 1 Per Assistant Director Bass, a meeting with the staff will be conducted today between 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. which will cover topics such as personal rights. Also, the staff members will undergo retraining regarding the personal rights of a child and will provide a copy of the attendance sheet for staff meeting and training to LPA. Based on the interviews and reports provided, the facility did not comply with the section cited above when a staff member grabbed a child inappropriately by the arm which posed a potential Health, Safety or Personal Rights risk to persons in care. 8
Based on observation, interview, and record review, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above in LPA observed a representative S8 alone with twelve children inside a classroom as lead teacher with only six unit credits which poses an immediate health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.
